<blockquote data-quote="Bimshop Singapore" data-source="post: 718534" data-attributes="member: 32145"><p><u><strong>23 July 2014</strong></u></p><p></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px"><a href="https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10152500920429694.1073742091.166890954693&type=1" target="_blank">Bimshop Tutorial - Another case of incorrect AE LED Markers</a></span> <span style="font-size: 13px">(4 photos)</span></p><p></p><p><a href="http://s432.photobucket.com/user/bimshop/media/BMW/FB2014/July%202014/23july2014_e90lciae_zps543c3cb5.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i432.photobucket.com/albums/qq42/bimshop/BMW/FB2014/July%202014/23july2014_e90lciae_zps543c3cb5.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></a></p><p> </p><p><span style="font-family: 'Verdana'">Hi guys,</span></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: 'Verdana'">Time for another lesson.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: 'Verdana'">Happened to do a bro's E90lci last week where he was complaining abt not bright, intermittent light etc</span></p><p><span style="font-family: 'Verdana'">The moment we opened up the light covers....wow.....we saw AE LED markers (for E60 pre-fl) "creativel</span><span style="font-family: 'Verdana'">y" installed on his e90lci using superglue n silicon. </span></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: 'Verdana'">Problems:</span></p><p><span style="font-family: 'Verdana'">1) Incorrect fitment, installer recycled OEM holder and tried to retrofit e60 pre-fl AE LED on it using silicon n superglue. so it was basically shaking here n there.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: 'Verdana'">2) Incorrect electrical parameters where long term use might result in damaged FRM module</span></p><p><span style="font-family: 'Verdana'">3) The E60 Pre-fl AE LED is basically a single beam source whereas the e90lci optics are actually in dual where both optics, even though are paired together, required light individually per optic.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: 'Verdana'">4) Installer used superglue to stick the optics together.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: 'Verdana'">there is actually free play for the 2 optics so installer probably thought he broke something and tried to stick it together.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: 'Verdana'">By using the superglue, it has resulted in partial blurring of the optics which will negate the output of the light.</span></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: 'Verdana'">In short, we have to take em out, clean the optics up and installed our Bimshop ones on it....</span></p></blockquote><p></p>
