Big hello from Singapore !!

Hello fellow UDMer from across the causeway.Allow me to introduce myself.Name is Kelvin and driving a E34. Would like too seek some advise from you guys.I saw on the Gallery of the photos that you had on Fraser's Hill trip...I am going there in May 2005 and would like to know how to get there.Driving from Johor...would the old roads (from Kota Tinggi) be easier or NS H'way ?? Your help is very much appreciated !!BTW...you guys are welcome to visit our humble home in Singapore...click on the siggy to bring you there !! Lovely home you guys have !

Thanks for the warm welcome....it would be lovely if BMWSG and BMWMY can come together for a mega event !!

I not the mod for BMW.SG...just a normal member only. Why dun you guys register and check it out with Ryan the BMW.SG boss. I will let him know about the interest.

Thanks Kahar for the link...I have been to that site before....but it does not really tell one how to get to the place from NS H'way....

It says exit from Rawang....does that mean that we have to exit the NS H'way before Sungei Bersi (where the mines resort is ??) or have to go to Sungei Bersi and get to Rawang from Cheras side ?? I am totally confused !!

Any help would be much appreciated !!

Thanks Tyke for the warning !! I dun intend to contribute to the "economy" of JPJ too.... :lol: :lol: :lol:

Will be taking a nice slow and relac drive to take in all the sights and culture.

its kinda complicated fer me to describe in ere.

well, to make it painless to u, just tell me when is yer scheduled journey there, i'll wait fer u somewhere at the sg besi toll n lead u thru the bypass via subang n guide u thereon til u reach hiway dat leads to rawang, how bout dat.

lets just say its token fr us udm owners in msia. i did establish some frenships wiv frens across the causeway .. nice bunch. n so happen some of em fr bmw-sg.com will b joinin us fer our Convoy cum BBQ event dis ocmin 14th MAY at port dickson. joinin us?

I bang here and there I think I can find my way to Rawang. From Sungei Bersi...have to go Cheras...then go thru town....Klang then Rawang rite ??

There is no way of getting to Rawang from NS H'way ??

Sorry for the trouble....KL is a maze....I got lost the other time trying to get out of KL !!! Ha ha ha ha....escape from Kuala Lumpur !!

Anyway...the schedule is to go on the 21 May....targetting to reach KL before 12 noon....departing SG at around 6am....but will be having breakfast at Johor Bahru before shooting up.

Its Outram Park...but that place torn down already....now its a MRT station and a empty plot of land. But there are many other nice food around...if you are in Singapore...I can show you around !!

I know about the Port Dickson trip...but dun think I can make it. Guess I gotta pass on this round !!!

The best way to get to Rawang is using the NS highway.
You enter the NS highway from Skudai. After Seremban exit (nearing Nilai exit), watchout for a turn to go north (eg Ipoh, Penang, or KLIA). Turn off and this will take you straight to Rawang. No need to go through KL at all.
If you are not sure, just follow the signs to Ipoh or Penang.
Rawang toll is about 4 hours drive from Skudai toll at legal speed limits.

we could meet SG chapter and convoy from there, suggested by Kahar.....

would be cool to have another run up Fraser's again, and with our neighbour coming up this would be like a welcoming gesture and an oppurtunity to strengthen ties too.....

That's at 286-288km point coming from Skudai.

Thanks Ozone/Stranger for the tips. Sounds good...will follow your directions and go on from there !! If you guy see me posting a picture of the Penang bridge...you know what happened !!

Teejay...your suggestion is good...but I can't comment on behalf of the BMW.SG...if you guys are going to the Port Dickson meet...maybe you can talk to our SG boss Ryan about the idea.

I would love to come with the SG guys to meetup with our Malaysian buddies !!
