Be careful with car perfume

hi all,just wanna share my misfortune and also warn you regarding oil base car perfume like ambi pur, glade etc. put it on yesterday and didn't notice the spill, this morning when i got into the car saw the outer layer of the panel around the aircon (e60) half peeling off! (its a kind of rubbery protective layer, now I hope AB can re-do the panel, otherwise I have to remove that layer altogether) so guys, use the non liquid type perfume to be safe

A well-known brand of car perfume was hung dangling next to the painted metal dashboard of my 1967 VW Beetle. Not long later, the paint started to blister!

So, yes, be cautious.

Now, imagine what it can do to your health when you happily inhale the stuff in...

mouse I supposed its a matter of taste la dude, plus i don't really care if ppl envy the smell or not, its foremost a darn good car and i'm happy with it

same things happened to me on my e34. The panels got white stains on it. Went to a car cushion place and they just resparyed the area. It is unoticeable now

thanx randy, how much it cost you? AB quoted the price of 300 to replace both the panel for aircon and the cd

They did it free for me as i took the car to clean the interiors and wash the cushions and carpets which total cost me 200

Durian smell can be very difficult to remove.
You can try two options. First is get AMWAY air refreshner and spray and see.

Second if it dos not work, then go and get nanoq mist sprayed. This will guranteed to remove any smell but going to cost oyu a bit

better still don't use anything. The factory smell of the car is good enough.

yeap.. smell back to normal.. just using daun pandan + daun pisang n drive with window open..

Actually other than car perfume you can actually do a coating into your car and your can will be bacteria free, it does reduce cigarette smell/durian smell too. Can check it out if you guys are interested. I personally tried it myself and find it quite good.
