Did my first ATF changed at 160k km and reason being did this cos my 200k km warranty due very soon and hope some problem can surface after oil changed and ask for new gear box replacement .. But sadly said nothing goes wrong ( touch wood )after replacement other than smoother drive and more power at pick up ( expected cos new oil mah ) Have been driving for another 80k km till now and gearbox still doing well ..will replace it again at another 80k km as read from some foreign website recommended to change at least 100,000 miles to maintain the gear box. My ride always whacked Gao gao during highway and very high mileage on usage . Heard from many veteran bmw technician to always Advise bmw driver to drive spiritly than keeping at house shelter to protect it instead. My case may not be your case and I bear no responsible for any bro think that 160k km can be a benchmark to replace the ATF oil ...
