I only do it occationally on the express way ( to burn off carbon build up from city driving ) and only discovered this problem a few months back and this situation happened again last weekend while on my way back from KL. The acceleration starts smoothly towards 180km/h and upon exceeding 190km/h, the ASC light will come on and off and i could feel the fuel being restricted into the engine, preventing the car from going any further. This happens regardsless of smooth or less than perfect road condition. I have not tried switching off the ASC fearing the back might come loose due to lost of traction.  Can it be due to poor/worn rear Bilstein B8 absorber? I had it inspected prior to my trip to find no suspension parts needed any attention.  My rear tire is 245/40/17 and front is 225/45/17 with approx. 6000 km usage.
