If so, then the following could not be true.... My ex-Babe once had a weak battery because of a mysterious power drain. My mech did not have the cables with him then. He took the battery from his car, put his battery in my car and started it. He did a quick swap and replaced with my battery. Now if all power has to come from the battery directly, the engine should have died while he was exchanging the batteries....</blockquote>
