one is a engine software tuning where it tunes up the engine performance with better hp and torque output as well as power band while the other is a smg transmission tuning that improves the gear changes and power delivery. they have the tuning for non M as well including the steptronic performance software. :top:

Btw its quite interesting to know that the steptronic transmision can be tweak. I thought the DME only can tweak before.

yeah, there is only 2or3 company in the world that can do that and esstuning having been tuning bmw and other contis for the past 13 years happens to be the one of it that knows how. they can tune VAGs like golf gti, audi a4 and others too.

anyway, i got hooked and convinced on ESS tuning after my friend send me this. its a N/A ess tuned m5 vs stock m5 drag with launch control. the difference in performance is huge.

ess can only tune the engine for VAG now. there is no plan to do the dsg tuning yet unless it a r32 and its running a turbo kit with 50o+hp...

Another issu with all te horse powe gain will be the braking power as noticed after some harsh drving the car would required longer brake distance after heated up. Any reconmmendation ?

sorry have not log in for a while. IMHO after i did the ess performance tuning the car performs very much like a different machine, the performance difference is quite the night and day actually. anyway i havent had the car dyno for it, i almost did it at speedworks a few weeks back but the boss was not around and the que was quite long so i just went off. dont worry about the brake, the brakes will be up to par for the performance added, i had no issues with frequent 240-0 stops in a day. so far so good. you should go for it.

too bad i am having a m6 and your a m5. if not i can offer you a swap on your ecu with mine since i will be using a different tuning for my supercharger setup.

hey jamal, i think you need to get 22s and not the 20s for your 6. saw the LM 20s that aaron superimposed on your car and it looks puny.
