Any Diff in E30 M40 Auto gear box and E36 M40 Auto Gear Box

Hi All Sifu,Like to ask any Diff between E30 M40 Autogear Box and E36 M40 Autogear Box?Intend to plug in E36 M40 GB to my E30 M40 due to faulty GB.Any problem in fixing?ThanksKelvin

IIRC, E30 318i autobox is a ZF gearbox while most of the E36 318i autobox are GM gearbox... Don't think they are interchangeable. but better to check around to double confirm.

should be the same... all CKD E36 318i, 325i and 328i run GM gearboxes... The imported ones runs either the ZF or Jatco 5 speed autoboxes.
