i have a problem with my wiring... sometimes my obc display rear brake light fault or plate no light fault...sometimes ok...check with both light...ok..i need someone to check the wiring...one more things is....is it same with other udm, when i start the egine, aircond will turn on automatically?

check for frayed wiring at the bootlid hinge area, that is a common problem.

my aircond automatically turns on as well. don't all cars regardless of make do that?

Mine doesn't.

With regards to the wiring, you can start by checking the condition of groundring wire and also contacts at the bulb holder.

two mechanic have tried to settle it but still the same..the bulb still ok...when i drive...suddenly obc highlight about Rear Brake Light Fail.... or Plate No Light fail...but the bulb still ok...emm..i will check the wire eventhough the mechanics failed to settle it..

one more things..john..ur care aircond doesn't turn on when start the engine? really? eemmm...so which one is the default setting?...turn on or not...

i think if u turn off the aircond first before u turn off the engine, then when u start the engine again, the aircond will be off.

but if u leave the aircond on before u turn off the engine, then when u start the engine again, the aircond will be on.

so it depends on how u leave the aircond condition before u turn off the engine.

which button did you press? Post the picture of the button that you press to OFF the aircon.

I suspect It could be the "RECIRC" button that you press. :smokin:

pertain to your light alarm, this problem is VERY common for E36. the problem is with the bulb holder. Due to vibration when driving, the contact which is worn out will cause this problem. You need to bend, sand down and clean the contact of the bulb holder.

i think yes, i did the same and my aircond remain off when i start the engine again.
it doesnt mind with the temperature i think, only the fan speed + and - button. mine is digital display.

Did you manage to rectify the brake light problem? cos my e34 also giving me a hell of a problem! The "Brake LT Circuit" appeared when he like it!!! sometimes ada sometimes tak ada so frustrated!!! mechanics check out can't find solution. Hope you manage to rectify it and share some info on that ok.
