Thank you Blackrobe for answering my curiosity... On your question, I can only answer a few on which I have some info on... In addition to this I will like to ask: 1. Why did AB make this decision unilaterally? AB took the initiative to call for this chipping in for the beer corkage as he did not want the club to pay for it as being the care taker of the money of the club he has to be accountable to it and spend it diligently. He did ask me on what I think and I agree fundamentally as I do not see it as a segregation but as one point on how to reduce the AD expenses on a particular item which in this case the beer corkage charges which the MC has been trying very hard to get the hotel to waived it but at the end was not possible. The same applies for other items in the AD prerequisites expenses. We look for ways to reduce the expenses by means of sponsor or contribution. Since in this case the beer was already sponsored, that left the corkage charges to be borne and AB suggested that perhaps we could call for some generous contribution from members attending the event. No segregation comes into mind at that point but maybe the way it was put is least to be desired and I believe AB has already apologize on that. 2. Why did AB make the assumptions he admittedly did? Which assumption? But in any case, an assumption is made when facts is not available but I believe it is due to the way it is put and understood thus causing some misunderstanding. I believe AB has address this by admitting the wrong assumption on the contribution of JohnJ and Beserkroid in the past AD. 3. How is this issue going to be handled, bearing in mind that this Club is fully responsible (constitutionally and legally) for all the monies it collects and handles, where when these monies will be collected, used, and excess credited to the Club's accounts, which decision to do so has admittedly been the sole decision of a singular Comm member and not the Committee? The way I see this is an effort by a person in this case AB to call for volunteers to chip in for the corkage charges and to collect on behalf of all the person interested and then paid to the club as part of contribution/ sponsor from some members to offset the charges to be incurred during the AD for the beer corkage. Any excess monies from the contribution could be as a contribution money from the members for the club (with their agreement) or refunded to them. I don't see any issue with that fundamentally unless I am not aware of certain restriction in the club constitution or the Malaysian law. A managing committee is also a member and he or she has the rights to exercise his membership rights to contribute to the club in the way he deemed fit and not in the capacity as the club managing committee.
