First time, amber light came on, sent to mechanic. he topped up water and said theres hairline crack. i didnt change it. wa fine for about a month when light came on again. it was only then i changed the radiator assy (where the hairline crack was).  been fine for abt 3 mths until few days ago. light came on. topped up water (stick floated up). apparently a friend who also owns a e46 told me that his car osso like that. and that water needs to be topped up every few months. i found that strange cos other cars no such needs. anyways, after reading this thread, good to hear that topping up water regularly is normal for other e46s osso. so far so good</p></blockquote><p></p>
