A.C and aircond fan not working..need help

hai forumer..my e34 A.C and aircond fan seems not working..only blower is working. aircon relay is fine. Any idea from otai's out there how to solve this poblem. thanks

MIght want to check the compressor and AC fan motor. I had my motor quit once, it's a job to replace...2-3 hour job. Second hand fan + motor available for around rm300. Brand new around rm600-700.

thanks hammer..for your info my problem start when i park my car for 3 days and when i'm start the car there's some stinky smell in the car.at first my radio is not working well. when i started my aircond only blower is working. i just change my old battery before the case happend.

Was your car was parked in cold/rainy area? The stinky smell might just be the clogged aircond vents. And it could be your new battery might have shortcircuited the AC fan. Try the fusebox first (left hand side in engine bay), replace the fuse for AC fan, if that doesn't work might have to dig out some cash for a new fan mate.

the fuse box lid inside will have the name - 'aux-fan' and the fuse numbering with the fuse rating..

your car 12valves or 24valves? what you mean by a/c control unit? the whole big unit inside the dashboard or the front panel control buttons on the dashboard? I have items from 12valves model.

wow is this some kind of a bug... i'm having the same problem too... will send it to the mech later... as for mine, im pretty sure tht it is the fuse, as i didn't start my car for a week, due to holiday. then after jump starting the car, the thing that happened to you, happened to me too.. so im pretty sure AC fuse is the problem.
