Mind sharing the asking price ?

Bro, no big deal for just 7% off, if you can wait a little longer, maybe sometime end of this year, you can a zero mileage Pre-Reg for 10 to 15% off.
If your urgency is to get the car NOW, then 7% is quite a fair bit.

A new BMW, as with any other car, once registered will lose easily 15%-20% in its first year. So a 7% discount is not worth it at all. Not one bit. This is not a pre registered car with zero mileage. Its been used and should be treated like a used car.

BMW normally gives 10%-15% off at the end of the year? betul ke?
that seems like quite a lot..

yes, i thought so..it should be at least 10% off since it is considered used even though mileage is 5k km and only 5 months old

For RM335K, u will be much more happier if u pick up a brand new 520d instead. :top:

Agreed! Way better than buying a car that has been trashed early in it's life.

yes, the brand new 520d would be a better buy compared to the demo 520i..but since its a collective decision (meaning family), the diesel has been vetoed out..anyway, bought a brand new 520i instead..got a very good offer from Quill PJ..if you are looking for new F10, i suggest you go to Quill and ask for Ivy or Michael..very helpful and generous..

Anyway, thanks for all the advice!

agree with eclipse, just get a new 520d, your car is still a virgin. bmw test drive units are regularly trashed by people like me.

Alpina,

You have been testing all the f10 and just wonder whether you have selected your f10 yet?

That is subjective though and if you test drive both, the different qualities are more apparent than if I were to write an essay about it. But I can't agree that the 520d is a better drive just because of its "monster" torque (we're talking driving experience per se here). In favour of the 520i, it still pulls to 6,500 rpms, is smoother, and ultimately not slower, but slightly faster. For petrol heads who loved high revs i.e. past VTEC and I6 owner, the ability to rev still holds appeal.

This day and age, it's all about the "torques" and with that, the torque spread. In favour of the 520i, its max torque (yes, lower than 520d's max) peaks over 1,250 to 4,500 rpms, aligned to fabulous willingness to rev, the 520i can be satisfying not just as fast, but I feel, in greater comfort (barring the initial weight barrier).
