520d n47 common problem.

How much it costs?</p><p>A : Yes, remap is about 1.5 to 1.8K depending on tuners. Aggressive tunes will make the car smoky.</p><p></p><p>And cost to change timing belt before breakdown.</p><p>A : For diesel, none has changed.</p><p></p><p>What about its 8 speed transmission? Reliable?</p><p>A : Its the best in the business as long its maintained well with oil changed every 100k km.</p><p></p><p>Single and twin turbo, got twin turbo failure?</p><p>A : Never heard of twin turbo failure on a diesel yet.</p><p></p><p>And the maintenance cost, can the engine runs on semi synthetic engine oil?</p><p>A : I am still servicing with BMW Oil others have used Millers and others.</p><p></p><p>Another alternative is e300 mercedes hybrid diesel. Can the hybrid convert to normal aircon pump?</p><p>A : Are you mad? the battery is RM120k to replace. Cannot convert.</p></blockquote><p></p>
