Hi to all BeeMer experts, Let me introduce myself. My name is Danny and I am pretty new to this BMW Malaysia club forum. Hence, if salah cakap, my sincerest apologies. I have been driving the current Hyundai Sonata 2.4 without any problems whatsoever. Since my wife needs a car now, I decided to pass on my trustee ride to her and in the midst of deciding for a new ride. I have been debating with myself for a month on whether I should take the leap of faith to buy a BMW as I have heard many stories of expensive maintenance, unreliable service centers, etc. I am considering the 520d due to the joys of having the powerful torque at my disposal. Can anyone provide their wise wisdom on the following questions : 1. Is pre LCI or LCI better? What makes it better? My home minister insisted on the LCI but wanted to know which is better. 2. Is this problem with the jerkiness of the 520d common? 3. How much is the regular service going to cost me? 4. Any problems with the 520d? 5. I heard of a plug and play system for remapping chip that boost up the torque and hp even higher. Anyone has experience with this and how much does it cost? 6. What is the best discount so far for a 2014 520d LCI unit? Best I got was RM258k for a pre-registered unit but it wasn't a LCI unit. Would be honored to hear from all of you. Ex 520d or current or even new owners are welcome. Thank you in advance ya. Hoping to be part of the d family.
