torque torque torque tok tok tok one of the misconceptions of Diesel's torque is it's relatively short peak ... 1,750rpm - 2,750rpm, "ooo, diesel ah, afteh Tee Thousan la-pm ah, no moh poweh liau lor.... " based on the 2 charts below, is it correct to say 320d produces 80%(300Nm) of it's torque from 1,500rpm - 4,200rpm/redline ? based on e90 320d 177hp (dorcayboy's car - via paultan) based on bmw's literature This figures are not phenomenal if you compared it to 328i (350Nm) but, compared to 320i (270Nm max/peak), 320d's 80%(300Nm) across the entire(almost) rev range is just simply sublime. and the numbers don't lie taken from http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=658601 F30 : 80-120Km/h ( 50-75mph) In 4th gear 335i 5.2s 328i 5.4s 320d 5.9s 320i 7.4s 318d 7.5s 316d 9.3s
