can read my "troubling" experience in my recent post :How reliable is your electronics? too sensitive? http://www.bmwclubmalaysia.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30349 Overall, quite satisfied - sufficient power, good sporty ride with all the creature comforts. Alternative was Golf GTI but hate the interior. In fact 320 was initially considered, but what's the point of driving BMW without good power. Even Waja can give it a hard time. Maybe its the auto box, but the 325 just doesn't push you to drive hard. Might be different with a manual ( not that +/- shifts that downshifts automatically when you slow down.). It is all on the throttle feel. But is good for daily use and occasional rushings. But for a Sunday morning drive or midnight run, I have to think for another toy car to fill in the missing elements. E46 M3 is still above 200k and I don't think I want to spend that kind of money to thrash a car. A type R is under serious considerations. My previous Civic S04 hardly gave any major problems even with the thrashings... But so far so good, always looking forward to drive it every morning, but the sad thing is, it is a very short trip to the office. Often had to take the longer route with some excuse...
