Message: <blockquote data-quote="E46Fanatic" data-source="post: 401244" data-attributes="member: 81">Looks like the cracked wheel was caused by impact on an object.  Notice the alignment of the wheel is off.  Whether it was before or during the actual impact with the bus is hard to say.  Interesting to see the rear safety roll over protection bars worked.  My guess is that it probably saved the life of the surviving passenger.  Front passenger side was likely where the impact with the bus was.  Shock tower housing totally collapsed so did the A pillar.I'm in the opinion that a sedan and coupe is still much safer than a convertible.  Sedans and coupes have strong B pillars, C pillars and curtain airbags which verts lack.</blockquote>
