[QUOTE="ess530i, post: 300606, member: 13496"] i tried locking a honda, toyota, proton & mercedes benz with its remote and all could be opened from the inside either by pulling the door lever or unlock button. but in my e60 (and i assume every other BMW) i couldn't open even though the lock button is raised fully when door lever is pulled. in an event of an accident (even minor one), there is a high chance that the electronics will screw up therefore preventing you from unlocking & escaping the vehicle. now this is getting me worried...and why has BMW designed their cars in such a way? why?
