from what i read earlier, it's not as easy as it seems.
the 2.7 eta piston will not work with the 2.5 head as it is different design. 2.5i has a domed cylinder chamber to match with the domed piston while the 2.7 has a flat head design. In order to make it use, you need to shave the 2.5 piston flat OR get a customised piston.
you also need the whole 2.5 injection system.
Another problem to the conversion is that this setup causes low compression which is suitable for turbo. If you're not going to turbo it, dont bother.
Recently i just changed my engine as i blown my previous engine (snap crankshaft). I did some research regarding the 2.7 stroker. It is expensive and time consuming. Finally, i went for an engine kosong and now im loving the 2.5 m20 engine. my 2 cents
