Forum Signatures Rules & Guidelines Based on feedback from other members, the Managing Committee has come up with some guidelines for forum signatures. We appreciate the personalization that signatures provide. However, the Managing Committee would like to make sure that they do not detract from the core experience of the forum by being distracting, spammy, or taking up too much space. A signature is intended as a short end piece for your posts. It will appear underneath every post you made on the forum and should be as minimal as possible. Large signatures or lengthy passages of text are unnecessary, distracting and take ages to load for users will slower connections. If your signature violates the below signatures guidelines then it will be removed. These limits are here to make the forum as easy to browse as possible, massive signatures do nothing but hinder other users. The maximum allowed signature graphic size is 500 x 200 pixels. The signature graphic should be no larger than 50k in size. To see how large your signature graphic is, right click on it and select “Properties”. If your signature is within the 500 x 150 limit but is larger than 50k then you should convert it into a .jpg in order to reduce its file size. Your signatures will be removed if it:- Is larger than the above mentioned size limits (500 x 200 pixels) Is overly distracting i.e. bright flashing images etc Contains link to illegal content, pornography etc Contains images of an unsuitable or adult nature Contains external commercial links The Managing Committee reserves the rights to change from time to time the above forum rules and guidelines. The Managing Committee would like to issue a FINAL reminder to all members to re-size their signatures if their said signatures has exceeded the maximum graphic size of 500 x 200 pixels. Effective 26th November 2013, all violating signatures will be removed without prior notice. Do please inform the Managing Committee if you come across any violating signatures.
